The Wildcats’ season opener ended with a 52-13 loss to Citrus College on Saturday.

Citrus jumped to a 21-7 lead in the first half. Sophomore quarterback Markell White completed his longest run of 16 yards to gain West's first touchdown late in the first quarter.
The Owls went on to leave the Wildcats scoreless during the second and third quarter while the team advanced to a 52-7 lead.
Sophomore wide receiver Jordan King landed in the end zone on a 10-yard rush in the fourth quarter to bring West to 13.

West's sophomores led the pack; White threw for 127 yards and rushed for 38 yards, leading the team in both categories. He was 15 of 33 passing for the Wildcats,
while King had six receptions for 41 yards.

WLAC will return to the home field on Saturday to host LA Pierce at 1p.m.
