| After outscoring West Hills-Lemoore 12-2 in the first quarter, the Wildcats turned up the defense to earn their fourth win of the year. Lauren Jones (Culver City) got going for the Wildcats connecting on 4 of 11 from the field to go along with 8 rebounds. |
The West defense proved to be too much early and often for the Eagles. The Wildcat defense held West Hills to 1 of 14 shooting in the 1st quarter (7%). West Hills scored their first basket with 6:21 remaining in the first and didn't score the rest of quarter. Sophomore Audrina Villela's (Carson) free throw with 3:11 left made it 12-2 West LA after one. |
