Wildcats come up short against Antelope Valley

The West Los Angeles College women's soccer team fell to Antelope Valley College 6-2, Tuesday's afternoon contest.
The loss brings WEST to 0-5, while the Marauders improve to 3-1-1 on the season.

 The visitors struck early, when just 6:18 into the 1st half Evencia Welsh
made it 1-nil beating the Wildcat net minder. AVC added four more goals
before Deisy Adame scored the Wildcats first goal of the contest at 43:04 of the first half.

After the Marauders made it 6-1 in the second half, WEST was able to get back in the the scoring column.
Shelsin Chavez
beat Amanda Lujan at the 71:50 mark for her team leading 3rd goal of the year.

The Wildcats concluded the contest with three shots while Antelope Valley recorded 17 shots.
Freshman Kathie Navarro posted 11  saves in her 10th appearance of the season in net.

The Wildcats are off until Tuesday, September 18th when they face Victor Valley.
Kickoff is 4pm at West LA.
