The West LA women's soccer team travelled to Ridgecrest on Tuesday to take on the Cerro Coso College Coyotes.

Shelsin Chavez put the Wildcats up 3-0 in Tuesday's matchup with Coyotes.
Cerro Coso came out strong in the second half, scoring in the opening ten minutes. West LA was quick to respond with two goals by Forward

Aylin Castro. Cerro Coso brought the score within two goals at 5-3, but a strong finish by the Wildcats gave
Shelsin Chavez two more goals, assisted by Right Wing
Deisy Adame and Center Mid
Kathie Navarro.
With a final score of 7-3, the Wildcats look to finish off the preseason with another win against Long Beach City College at home next Wednesday (10/10) at 2pm.
Shelsin Chavez finished the game with 5 goals, putting her at 15 for the season and the current scoring leader in the Western State Conference- South.
