The West Los Angeles College men's basketball team will look to make a return trip to the state championships. The Wildcats' postseason run gets underway this week as they were named the No. 16 seed for the upcoming Southern California Regional Playoffs.

West LA will host No. 17 Allan Hancock College in a Round 1 game on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. Ticket prices for the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) postseason game at "The Den" at West LA are $12 for general admission and $8 for all identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children under 12 years old.

West LA enters the postseason with an 18-10 overall record under head coach Anthony Jones. The Wildcats recently closed out the regular season finishing in second place at 10-4 in the final Western State Conference South Division standings.

The Wildcats are making their fifth straight postseason appearance. Last year, West LA advanced to the state championship semifinals in Lemoore.

Allan Hancock enters Wednesday's game with an identical 18-10 overall record and took third place in the Western State Conference North Division at 8-4. The playoff matchup marks the first meeting of the season between the two WSC foes.

The winner of the contest will travel to face top-seeded Fullerton College (17-1) in a second-round game on Saturday (Feb. 25) in Fullerton. Three wins are needed by the Wildcats to advance to the CCCAA State Championships on March 9-12 at West Hills College Lemoore in Lemoore.
