No. 2 West LA extends winning streak to 12 games

BAKERSFIELD – The No. 2 state-ranked West Los Angeles College men's basketball team continued its dominance on the court. On Wednesday, the Wildcats cruised to their 12th straight win, an 83-64 rout at Bakersfield College.

West LA improved to 15-2 overall and sits on top of the Western State Conference South Division standings tied with Citrus College at 3-0.

At BC, the Wildcats held a 39-31 halftime lead but blew the contest open with an 11-0 run midway through the second to put the game out of reach.

CJ Hardy led the way for West LA with 22 points and 7 assists. Blake Lander posted a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds while Daniel Cooper scored 13 points and Marland Harris added 11 points.

West LA is back in action on Saturday (Jan. 20) when the Wildcats host Santa Monica College in a 3 p.m. Western State Conference South Division game.
