Sophomore Diamond Williams posted her fourth double-double of the season with 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead West Los Angeles College in a 67-56 loss at San Diego City College on Thursday night.
The Wildcats' record fell to 4-4 overall.
West LA got off to a fast start, opening the game with an 11-0 lead. The Wildcats led 17-6 after the first quarter and were up 29-24 at halftime. But San Diego City (4-8) went on to outscore West LA 21-9 in the third to put them ahead for good.
Lauren Lee added 16 points for the Wildcats and Xyamiyia Miller grabbed 13 rebounds to go along with 8 points.
West LA returns to action on Thursday (Dec. 16) when the Wildcats travel to City College of San Francisco to compete at the three-day Golden Gate Classic tournament. West LA is scheduled to face host CCSF at 5 p.m. in its opener.
