Last minute goal deals West tough loss, 4-3

The West LA women's soccer team came up a goal short to the Moorpark Raiders this past Friday. Playing down 3-1 at the 84th minute, Forward Shelsin Chavez broke away from the defense to score and bring the Wildcats within one. As the clock entered the final stoppage time, a last offensive push found the Wildcats with a scoring opportunity.

A handball by Moorpark gave the Wildcats a chance to tie-up the game with a penalty kick. Right Wing Deisy Adame scored with a low shot to the left corner of the goal, and the game tied at 3-3. On the last play of the game, Moorpark was able to bring the ball forward and score the game winning goal with a shot from outside the 18-yard box.

West LA will travel to Cerro Coso College on Tuesday afternoon, with only 2 preseason games remaining.
